+Hollandia Matzes is the birthplace of Hollandia Authentic. Since 1933, we have been baking our distinctive matzes in the heart of Enschede, perfected and cherished through generations of craftsmanship. The Hollandia Authentic office is literally located above the bakery, so if you ever visit us, the delightful aroma of freshly baked matzes will welcome you.
Hollandia Matzes is one of the few independent family bakeries in the Netherlands, and perhaps the smallest A-brand in the country. Since 1933, Hollandia has been baking a variety of matzes in the city center of Enschede. Traditionally, large matzes in the famous orange bag are enjoyed during Easter. Today, the smaller MatzeCrackers, packed in a unique hexagonal box, are enjoyed all year round.

+Waffle specialist Vegter is a family business with a rich history. The traditional Vegter’s Rolletjes (New Year’s rolls) and Knijpertjes have become an essential part of holiday celebrations and New Year’s traditions for many.
Vegter has always embraced innovation. From the first waffle baking machine in 1932 to the pioneering rolling machine in 1968, each generation has moved the company forward. Our packaging has also evolved, from tins to foil to the iconic boxes of today. This year, we are introducing filled gingerbread rolls, making us available even during the Sinterklaas season.
In 2018, however, disaster struck, and Vegter’s bakery faced bankruptcy. Despite this setback, family members, with the support of Hollandia Authentic B.V., successfully restarted the business at the same location in Hoogezand. Thanks to these efforts, Vegter remains a family business dedicated to preserving and passing down its culinary heritage for future generations.
